our values

Diversity of the Southeast Alabama Workforce

Established in 2014, the Southeast Alabama AHEC (SEAAHEC) is a non-profit, community-based organization located in Montgomery, Alabama, and part of the overall Alabama Statewide AHEC Program.

Education of healthcare professionals in rural and underserved Southeast Alabama

Equal Access to Health Care for minority and disadvantaged populations in Southeast Alabama; improving health outcomes, and reducing health disparities

Workforce and Economic Development through creating opportunities to expand the Southeast Alabama healthcare workforce

Our work is accomplished through community partnerships which include local, state, and federal agencies; corporations; local health care providers; academic institutions: high schools, career tech centers, and colleges and universities; health professions students; the Alabama Statewide AHEC Program (ASAP); other non-profit agencies; and our rural communities.

Each partnership works to meet the needs of one or more of our Health Professions Pipeline areas: Education, Health Care, and Jobs.

Southeast Alabama AHEC serves 15 counties
